"Thank You, God's love comes to our children through your caring ministry for our Heiltsuk future Christian leaders & our nation. Love and prayers send your way!"

- Connie // Adult in Bella Bella

It's an experience you will never forget in your own backyard. People travel to other places to do missions and don't realize what there is here in Canada.

- Harold // Mission Teams 2006-2010

There's such an awesome willingness to work together with us...they don't come in and just take over... Myself, and the board appreciate your teams dedication and willingness to work with us in teaching and building up the next generation.

- Glenna // Lay Minister in Bella Bella

The three [mission] teams...share[d] their stories and experiences with each other: stories of God’s love both experienced and shared through laughter, little children, music, and more! God worked in all of us, and through all of us, in some pretty amazing ways!

- Concordia University // 2002-2012

I learned that my expectations of myself in the role of 'missionary,' or maybe my definition of a missionary are different than what’s really needed in order to be effective on a mission field. It takes smiling at a stranger, colouring a picture and sharing crayons, telling a story, or saying a simple heart felt prayer… it’s the little things that matter more than we think or can see.

- Stacie // Mission Team 2011

Having the BC Mission Boat come here in the summer is awesome! I love having you guys here. It’s just so good that you guys take your time to come and visit [us] here. It [is] just a great experience for everyone: the teenagers, kids, the elders, just learning about God, it’s so good. Having you guys come here, it means a lot to me, and probably everyone else too! Thank you!

- Linda // Young Adult in Klemtu

While colouring the, 'He is Risen' picture with a couple of boys, I was able to tell them the story of God’s incredible love and how he sent His son to die for us. I’ve never really had that opportunity before. Thanks God!

- Andrew // Mission Team 2011

Through working for the BC Mission Boat, I have learned that ministering to people can take many forms, from discussing faith and praying with people to small talk and playing games.

- Kaitlin // BCMBS Summer Staff 2010

I had a chance to witness to someone for the first time. A complete stranger on the side of the road who asked me to pray for him and I did. It was one of the most terrifying things I have ever done, but it changed my life.

- Alicia // Mission Team 2010

We heard comments from a grandmother about how the sharing of God’s love with the children of the community makes a difference in their lives. We heard words of appreciation for mission teams that come back to the community and strive for relationships. These comments and others have embedded themselves in my heart and have given me the beginnings of an appreciation for what God can do through mission work!

- Ross // Mission Teams 2010, 2011

Wish you guys could get a place here, and send a revolving unit to come in and out on a weekly basis, that would be so nice...God bless you all!
