Moving for Missions is September 24-25, 2022! We move together!

Moving for Missions is a weekend in September when volunteers from across our Synod will get active to help us raise $15,000. Every dollar raised supports our ongoing ministry to First Nations Communities along the remote BC coast. Whether you cycle, walk, run, paddle, or skate, we want you to take on a portion of the approximately 2,900 km it takes our teams to visit the four communities of Klemtu, Kingcome, Ehattesaht, and Kyuquot. Each trip we make delivers programs such as Kid’s Club, Family Games Nights, Men’s Nights, Women’s Craft/Spa Nights, home visits, and more! Using these programs, we reach out to our brothers and sisters in Christ with the good news of the Gospel. So, grab your bike, your running shoes, your kayak, your canoe, or your rollerblades, pick a distance you want move, and ask your friends, family, and congregation to support our efforts through your effort! Here is an idea of some of the travel costs:

  • Up to $300 per person round trip to Klemtu by ferry, or up to $4000 one way to charter a boat or plane
  • Up to $1000 round trip for a water taxi get into Kyuquot
  • Up to $1800 for a truck or large SUV vehicle rental
  • Up $1800 one way for a water taxi to get in or out of Kingcome
